 Question- What can substitute or replace Love in the world?

Or let me ask it this way- what compares to Love in the world?

Really think about it for a moment before reading further.

 

​Consider this:​

 

No matter where you’re from, no matter economic status; no matter the color of your skin or what your orientation is; no matter your political or religious beliefs; no matter your walk of life or your way of it, there is but one thing we all have in common. In all our hearts we hope for it, some long for it- some even pray for it.

No matter our differences, this one thing seems to be the most needful. This one thing is not only the greatest bonding agent ever known, it sustains all life and keeps things a positive direction. ​

 

Love has Supernatural Power:

Love is the most potent power on earth because it connects everything, then tell me why is it the least understood authority in the world? Yes, Love has authority.

Pause for a moment to think about this before reading on.​But what is Love, exactly? Where does it come from? How did it get here? Why does Love impact all of us? Could we live in a world without Love? What would a world without Love be like? Can you imagine it?​

 

The Objective:

These are some excellent questions, and this campaign is dedicated to unfolding the great mystery that is Love. The objective is to carefully examine this wonder, in the hopes of ascertaining what and even perhaps, who Love is and why it means so much to all living things. It’s a tall order, I know, but one worthy of discovery.  ​

 

Take the journey:​

This attempt to understand Love’s origin and purpose in our lives is not an exercise in futility. Perhaps together, along our journey, we will encounter Love’s greatest power yet- The ability to push back this grim darkness that threatens to overtake us all and leave us in a sad, dark world devoid of all Love's benefits.  Yes, I say benefits! Consider all the many benefits Love brings to our world.  ​

 

Reflect for a moment:​

In a day and time where so much attention is focused on our differences, we should give equal consideration to what we have in common, namely- Love. Now, in order to take this flight, you will need to shift your thinking about Love from a romantic perspective to a broader one. We are not talking about physical love, although it has its place, it is not the type of love we are endeavoring to distinguish here.

 

What kind of Love are we talking about, anyway?​

For our purposes, we are more interested in the type of Love that is unselfish, sacrificial and unconditional. This type of Love is displayed when a kindness is shown to someone unexpectedly or when friends/family come together to give support to one in need; the kind of love that will have you sitting up all night on the phone with a friend who is going through a rough time. The kind of love that makes you want to help a stranger in need.  

 

Are we born with Love?

Is it possible Love is in our DNA? It stands to reason that it’s something we’re born with since all of us are born with a capacity to Love. We all have an innate desire to Love and be Loved, so does that mean it’s in our DNA? Another great question. And if it is part of our genetic makeup, then we would not be able to separate ourselves from it, correct?

 

30 years and counting:

In the many years (and it’s been more than 30) I’ve spent studying this phenomenon, I have determined that Love is as vital to the human life as air, water, even food. Love is the singular sustainer of all life.Love is the invisible, yet tangible force that bonds all things together.

Love is the dynamic energy that brings all things into existence, including itself, and upholds them forever. Nothing can exist or remain without Love!​​​

 

Love has a personality?​

In my humble attempts at understanding Love, I've tried to imagine what Love would look like/be like, if Love were a person. It's an odd thought I know, but one I've often thought about and wrote about in my first blog post.
